| 28.11.2003 - DB04 - New battery operated thermal mass flowmeter for gases |  | | | The thermal mass flowmeter DB04 is a modular designed system to measure the mass flow rate of gases. Because of its independency from external power sources through the use of an integrated battery and the low price the DB04 very often replaces conventional variable area flowmeters. Additionally, it has the advantage over variable area flowmeters that it measures independent of pressure or temperature variations of the medium.
Suitable for many different gases:
The standard calibration medium is air, however, a great variety of other media like O2, N2, He, Ar, may be measured too. Depending on the medium the DB04 is either made of aluminium or stainless steel. Possible flow ranges start with 4...200 Nml/min to 4...200 Nl/min. A 4-digit LCD display combined with a bargraph display enables the user to read off the measured values easily at a glance. The DB04 may be mounted in any position and can be cleaned easily and without recalibration.
Versatile modular design:
The DB04 has a turn-down ratio of 50:1 and is available in a variety of different versions: as flowmeter, with integrated needle valve, with adjustable limit switch and with totalizing function. Straight pipe runs up- or downstream of the meter are not necessary. | | | |
